Water baptism is a great way to jump start your life after making a decision to follow Christ. When Jesus started His ministry, He was baptized.  So, we should do the same! It is a public declaration of the inward decision.

Water baptism can also be a way to solidify a decision to rededicate yourself to God and the journey you’ve been on. We see lots people who have been Christ-followers for a long time get re-baptized as a symbol of starting fresh with Christ. Whatever circumstances led you to this page, just know that GOD HAS MORE and water baptism is a perfect way to start!

WHAT DO I DO TO SIGN UP?

The only thing you need to do to sign up is click the registration link on this page. You’ll fill out your name, address, age and t-shirt size. You can also sign up by texting “BAPTISM” to 281-374-4626. Once you register, you’ll receive a confirmation email. And, we’ll make sure to send you email reminders the week before your water baptism.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN AT MY BAPTISM?

Water baptism happens after service. You’ll have about ten minutes to change and get ready. You can leave your bags and personal items in the restroom. Then you’ll meet a team member at the tub who will line everyone up. We’ll also have someone there to help you in and out of the tub. When you enter the baptism tub, the person who is baptizing will ask you if you have made Christ the Lord of your life. After you answer, we will baptize you by briefly lowering you just under the water, and then you can leave the water, dry off, and watch the others.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

Please bring a towel, a plastic bag for your wet clothes, and dry clothes to change into after your baptism. But, don’t worry! We have extra towels if you forget yours.

WHO CAN I INVITE?

Invite your family, friends and coworkers. Basically, invite everyone and anyone that you want to be a part of your big day.

WHERE DO I GO ON THE DAY OF BAPTISM?

On baptism day, we will have a short orientation outside of the front glass doors under the breezeway at 10 a.m. at the baptism tub. We’ll go over what water baptism means and give you general instructions of what to expect. You’ll also get a shirt to be baptized in and a bag.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Wear the shirt we provide you with during the orientation. And, wear any pants, shorts or leggings that you’re comfortable in and that you don’t mind getting wet. It’s also a good idea to wear sandals since they are easy to slip on and off.

CAN MY FAMILY BE BAPTIZED TOGETHER?

Yes! If each family member fully understands the meaning of baptism, families may be baptized at the same time one-after-another.

CAN I AND/OR MY FAMILY TAKE PICTURES?

Yes! Take a lot of pictures! And, we would love for you to share them with us as well by using #GODHASMORE in all your social media posts.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I’M BAPTIZED?

We’ll mail you your baptism certificate within a week.
